Refugees come to the UK fleeing persecution, only to end up living in destitution
Despite the scare stories in the papers, the UK is not being 'flooded'
by 'bogus' and 'illegal' asylum seekers intent on taking our jobs, claiming
our benefits and 'swamping' our schools and hospitals. In fact, having
fled from conflict, torture and rape, most asylum seekers are forced to
live in poverty - and many end up sleeping rough and going hungry.
Do you believe the type?
Or do you believe asylum is a human right?
Do you believe that
- people fleeing from persecution should get proper support
- the UK should be ashamed of how asylum seekers are demonised
- no-one should be left without means of support while they are in the UK
If you believe asylum is a human right, sign
